Wisdom Literature PUPPET Plays for Presentation in Church!
Puppet Play Series Based off The Old Testament **SPECIAL OFFER**
by Rev. Emily Meyer
There are four puppets and one human in these productions. The human, Ms. Sophia, remains outside of the Puppet Theater. Ms. Sophia is someone who relates to the puppets in much the same way as Mr. Rogers relates to the puppets in his show. The puppets, however, remain inside the puppet theater.
Each character is an attribute of God; they know themselves to be and relate to one another as complete equals, partners, and co-workers. Since they are always of one mind, they finish one another's sentences with great frequency and ease. These moments should flow unbroken between characters, as if delivered by one voice.
Ms. Sophia: Sophia is the Greek name for the feminine principal of Wisdom.
Ru (Ruach): Ruach is the Hebrew term translated into English as “breath” (or “wind” or “spirit”).
Hokey: Hokmah is the Hebrew term often translated into English as “Wisdom.”
Numa: Pnuema (pronounced, “NEU-Ma”) is the Greek term translated “Spirit”, or sometime “Wind” or “Breath”; it is seen in English terms like “pneumatic drill” or “pneumonia”. Neuma/Numa is Holy Spirit of the Trinity.
Logos: Logos is the Greek term translated “Word”, from whence we get all of the English word-ending like, “-logies” or “-logics”, meaning “words about...” or “study of...” Logos is the term used by John in the 1:1 Creation Hymn.
