New Resources are Hot Off the Press for You to Instantly Download at Arches 'n Bells!

by Daniel D. Maurer, FunChurchPlays.com Founder

We heard your pleas and took the initiative to deliver! One of the main requests we received at Arches 'n Bells is that we produce more dialogues, monologues, and ready made skits and plays that will work as worship resources for Lent. (Click here to see our new lenten worship resources right now.)

AND, in light of the religious illiteracy that seems to persist in our culture, one of the best ways we can address it in our own congregational contexts is to use church dramatic resources like dialogues, monologues, skits and plays. Why, you ask?

I may seem like a stuck record some days, but the truth it's simply the way our brains work.  According to Dr. Paul J. Zak, the founding director of the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies and a professor of economics, psychology, and management at Claremont Graduate University, good storytelling is "an amazing neural ballet in which a story line changes the activity of people’s brains."

As social creatures, we relate to stories. And the methods we tell these stories—and God's story—really does matter. (You'll save lots right now. Click here to see more.)

For this upcoming Season of Lent, I strongly encourage you to consider using the resources you'll find at Arches 'n Bells for your progressive faith community. All our writers are simply top-notch playwrights and each of the productions they've spent countless hours writing you will find are as engaging as they are sensitive to issues like inclusive language and grace-centered theology. You simply won't find another source for plays with this in mind on any other website.

Here are the great works we have in store for you to use for your Wednesday Lent worship services, or for any other non-seasonal use as well! Enjoy!!
